Wattay International Airport is one of the few international airports in Laos. It is located 3 km outside of the city centre of its capital, Vientiane. The airport consists of an old and small domestic terminal and a new international terminal.
After ariving at the airport, we got a taxi to our hotel
Wat Si Saket is believed to be Vientiane’s oldest surviving temple. This beautiful temple turned national museum is in dire need of a face-lift.
Be respectful of what you wear. Its a temple. Please remember to cover up a little. Skirt wraps are free and available at the entrance.
This temple is for those who may ask for a wish to come true or a blessing on themselves or even their new car to keep it safe
If you are religious you will want to pay to go inside the Wat, which is 5000 KIP - this is interesting because it is quite different inside from the other temples we have seen in the area, the painting inside is unique.
If you are not a Buddhist and have had enough of seeing temples, then you can just enjoy walking around and seeing the monks etc.
