Traffic jam is very bad. They’re not advised to do so in rush hours (about 7 – 9 AM and 5 – 7 PM) or on crowded big streets as Ho Chi Minh City has traffic jam almost everyday. It would be extremely dangerous as visitors don’t know about driving habit of Vietnamese people as well as traffic law. Therefore, tourists who want to try this type of transport should be careful with the time and route.
Dong Khoi Street belongs to District 1- a luxuriant central urban district. It is over 600 meters long and starts from the crossroad with Nguyen Du Street
HOW TO GET THERE: After lunch, we walked around Dong Khoi street. There are a lot of things to see here. Lots of shops indoors and outside and a big market to get clothes, bag, food....whatever you need
You should keep eyes on your children to avoid getting lost.
Be prepared to be approached continuously by vendors wanting to sell you something.
The river at the end of Dong Khoi is an interesting area to visit early morning when people practice Tai Chi. In the evening it is also beautiful to watch the river life and dinner cruises
After walking around there, we took a taxi to come back the hotel that our kids could swim and take rest before food tour by motorbike.
