Spring Season (Mar–May)

At the middle of March, the cherry-blossom front starts from south part of Japan until the middle of May. When cherry blossoms are in bloom, you can find many events called Hanami(flower viewing). Hanami usually means watching cherry blossoms in Japan

Summer Season (May–Sep)

Summer in Nikko has the highest temperature as 35 and the lowest as 28. It's better to not travel in this time as it's really hot in Nikko.

Fall Season (Sep–Nov)

It's time for the beautiful Nikko.     The coloring season in Nikko is long because of the wide range in elevation from the mountains of the Okunikko region to the Nikko town area down in the valley. The colors usually first arrive in the high elevations of Okunikko around early October, reach Lake Chuzenji in mid October and the Irohazaka Winding Road in late October before descending to the town of Nikko in early November. Note that the best colors are found in the Okunikko region, while the town area of Nikko is dominated by evergreen trees and does not offer too many colors.

Winter Season (Nov–Mar)

Nikko is specially beautiful in Winter. The fields of white from the grounds of Futarasan Shrine looking out to Lake Chuzenji are magnificent. A different type of winter beauty can also be seen in Oku-Nikko, at Senjogahara Plateau Plains and Nikko Yumoto Onsen(hotspring). Bathing in the outdoor baths at Nikko Yumoto Hot Springs while enjoying the snow-covered scenery is an experience you'll never forget.
