Operating Hours
In general, buses in the downtown area run from 05:00 to 22:30. Some suburban lines stop as early as 17:30 or 18:00. The night lines from 201 to 251 run from 21:30 p.m. to 05:30 a. m.
Ticket Fare
Most of the city-buses charge CNY1–3 per person. There is a discount on the normal ticket fare when paying with a Transportation Smart Card. Most of the buses are self-service with no refund for overpayment, so passengers need to prepare the exact small change beforehand.

Safety
Speed Limits are as follows:
30 km/h (19 mph) on city roads where there is only one lane per direction, 40 km/h (25 mph) on China National Highways; Up to 70 km/h (43 mph) on city roads where there is a major road with central reservation or two yellow lines, 80 km/h (50 mph) on China National Highways;
100 km/h (62 mph) on city express roads;
120 km/h (75 mph) on expressways.

Hangzhou has a well developed bicycle renting system. There are altogether over 1,000 public bicycle spots in the city. Visitors can rent a bicycle and tour around the city freely. The bike serving spots serve from 06:00 - 20:00.

It starts at Wulin Gate/West Lake Culture Plaza and ends at Gongchen Bridge, with one stop at Xinyifang Grand Canal Culture Plaza. The boats stop first at Xinyifang, then to the newly-developed Canal Culture Square, where you can see the Canal Museum, see if there are any events in the square, and check out the new Xiaohe Steet- a series of "historical" alleys with shops and restaurants similar to Hangzhou's Hefang Street.

Takes 30 minutes but only makes 5 trips per day, the first at 7:30AM and the last at 6PM.
Fares
Cost is ¥3.
While really worth taking the trip, Hangzhou now has plans to connect a series of canals and streams throughout the city with the Grand Canal, West Lake, Yuhang River, and Qiantang River, making for increased water transport and a Venetian feel when completed. There are also passenger boats running along the Grand Canal from near the Qiantang River

Fares
Ticket price is CNY 35 per pax for normal boat and CNY 45 per pax for luxury boat. the ticket covers the Xiao Ying Zhou and Huxin Ting. Boat with a captain: maximum 6 persons. Rental is CNY 80 per hour with at least one hour. There is bargin price for longer time. Additional tickets are needed for Xiao Ying Zhou (Santan Yingyue) CNY 20 and Ruan Gong Dun CNY 15. The Huxin Ting is free. Boat without a captain: maximum 6 persons. Minimum 2 hours with CNY 20. CNY 10 per hour after 2 hours. The rental for a four seat self drive battery boat or a two person boat without a captain is CNY 15. If passengers can not leave the boat at the same time to visit the island, the passenger who chooses to rows the boat can only visit the island in separate group and need to buy ticket as well at the price listed above.
