Whether you are a pro or not, no need to worry coz Bali offers a wide range of surf spots, along with surfing classes,for learners of all levels. If you’re just about to get started, here are some surf spots for beginners that you may wanna know!
KUTA BEACH
This beautiful white sandy beach is considered as one of the most famous surf spots on Bali Island.

With soft tides and great waves of an average height, Kuta Beach is a perfect place for beginners to try out their surfing skills. Whether you want to learn it yourself or take a surfing lesson, it won't be a problem, since you can always ask one of the surfing guys renting out boards on the beach for some advice. And moreover, no need to worry about safety coz there are plenty of lifeguards here, who are ready to save you from any troubles.
Another thing you may want to know is this beach also offers a spectacular view at sunrise that you won't wanna miss!
Location: in Kuta Village, Kuta District, Badung Regency, and Bali Province, Indonesia. This beach is just 5 minutes’ driving from Denpasar Airport, situated right in Bali’s tourist center.
LEGIAN BEACH
Legian is kind of Kuta’s sister Beach, featuring 3 kilometers of white sand stretching to Tuban Area, great waves for surfing, a beautiful panorama, and complete public facilities. Like at Kuta Beach, the swells here grow bigger in late the afternoons.

Legian has several notable surf schools such as the Ombak Legian Store & Surf Academy at the Legian Beach Hotel, credited by the Australian Academy of Surfing Instructors, or the Rip Curl School of Surf, which can be found at Jalan Arjuna.

SEMINYAK BEACH
Seminyak is a beautiful white-grey sandy beach situated to the north of Legian. It has the same quality as Kuta Beach, but is often less crowded and offers swells that double the size of that at Kuta.

There are several surf camps and schools along the coast here, enables you to eat, sleep and hone your wave riding skills.
This beach is suitable for kids and beginners.
Location:in Seminyak Village, about 25 minutes away from Denpasar Airport.
PADANG PADANG BEACH
Padang Padang is another famous surf spot in Bali stretching 100 meters from the north to the south.

Whether you are beginner or pro-surfer, Padang Padang Beach is the ideal place for you to practice your wave-riding skills Bali Island. Here, you can rent surfboards to hit the breaks right off shore.

BATU BOLONG BEACH
Batu Bolong is the most popular beach in Canggu with miles of beautiful white sand stretching from Seminyak, offering a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. Featuring two surf spots, the beach provide surfers with many opportunities to conquer the waves and enjoy the surfing adventures.

Location:in Canggu Village, Kerobokan District, Badung regency, Bali province, Indonesia. It is 35 minutes’ driving from Denpasar Airport and 5 km from Kuta Beach.
You should come during the dry season, from May to September, for the perfect surf condition. This also means that it is the peak season. But the more, the merrier, right!
