Shilin is Taipei’s largest and best-known night market in Shilin district with the convenience of an MRT Station nearby. It was established in the 19th and it has developed rapidly after the World War II. Previously, the old Shilin market was on Jihe Road. Then the new Shilin Night Market is now located on Danan Rd. by Zicheng Temple (Zichenggon), which takes about a 5-10-minute walk from MRT Station.

Shilin Night Market is one of the most Taipei tourist attractive night markets for the locals and oversea visitors. Shilin Market is extremely crowded at night that gets its fame for a wide array of authentic Taiwan eateries and fashionable clothing.
