Tung Po –Seafood

You’ll be thoroughly impressed with this place as it had that old-school food stall vibe with the waiters yelling out orders, food being quickly shuffled from kitchen to desk and even beer girls trying to sell their beer. It is pretty loud and lively.

Everything about this place is unique. The setting is a casual, rustic eatery with 36 individual booths designed for you to enjoy your ramen privately. In each booth, there is a piece of paper to make the order based on your preference for flavor strength, richness, noodle texture, garlic, green onions, sliced pork, and whether you want any extras like egg or seaweed. You can order their delicious tofu dessert on this sheet as well. Once finishing, you press a button and place your paper on a platter. The lady behind the booth will take it and leave a copy of the paper in case you want to order later. When the ramen arrives, they’ll place it on your table and close the bamboo curtain. Pretty awesome hah!

The ramen is fantastic. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients coming straight from Japan. The soup is flavorful and the noodles just delicious.
If you’re coming here for dinner, make sure you come early since it might be pretty crowded.

They have all sorts of puddings: hot and cold, milk, coffee, chocolate, ginger, etc.The puddings are light, smooth and taste very yummy. Sweet, but not too much, and warming. It feels like a big milky hug that melts in your mouth. You just have got to try it!
Sinmei Tea – Matcha Green Tea
- Opening hours:11.30am – 7.30pm
- Address:5/F, CS Tower, 50 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
This place is a true paradise for all matcha green tea lovers. Once you enter, you would be surprised at how eclectic it is: traditional Chinese dark wood furniture and potteries, with a mixture of Western style chairs. It is kind of an East-meets-West café selling Japanese desserts. Sound awesome, right!

The green tea molten cake and matcha loaf cake here are gorgeous. You should also try their signature drinks: the Matcha Soul, which is served with honey, almonds, and dried osmanthus flower, and the MatchaGenmaichaMarone, with roasted rice and chestnuts. They are very rich, flavorful and have amazingly smooth texture.
