Why Wangfujing Snack Street is special ?
Wangfujing Snack Street, fronted by an ornate archway, is lined with cheap-and-cheerful food stalls that are always busy. There are dishes from all over China, including málà tàng (a spicy soup from Sìchuān) and zhájiàngmiàn (Beijing noodles in fried bean sauce), as well as skewers, savoury pancakes and oodles of noodles. The food stalls serves a wide variety of common and exotic street food. More common fare such as chuanr (meat kebabs, commonly made of lamb) and desserts, such as tanghulu or candied fruits on a stick, are among the most popular. The majority of diners here are foreign, and the cost is not low. However, for a comfortable and relaxing meal, Xin Dong An Restaurant comes highly recommended.

Tips for you
This is literally just a strip of vendors on the side of the road on Wangfujing Street. Behind them and across the street are tons of shops to peruse. This si a great place to just wander around, shop, and sample crazy food you wouldn't find normally anywhere else. There is something for everyone here, lamb, pigeon, duck, beef, pork, chicken, fish, squid, eel, snake, for you carnivore types. There are veggies, egg, dumplings, and fruit for vegetarians. There are grasshoppers, termites, ants, beetles, seahorses, starfish, centipedes, scorpions and spiders for the adventurous types. There are things steamed and fried and dipped in sugar for those with a sweet tooth. There are savory potatoes and soups for those with a real hunger. Bring hand sanitizer and napkins and ENJOY! I tried the crab dumplings, yummy, the grasshopper, crunchy, and a starfish, difficult to eat. All were a fun experience. It also started snowing while we were there, which added a bit to the unreal experience of eating all those crazy things. This is actually one of the most fun and memorable things I did in Beijing.
Street food being style was delicious, be adventurous try snake or even a spider haha! Watch out tho for the hustle some will try to overcharge you.
