- Khmer people living in Kampung Phluk
- Tonle Sap
What to explore at Tonle Sap Lake Photography Tour?
As the name suggests, the Tonle Sap Lake Photography Tour is all about the Tonle Sap lake and its surroundings. The tour will start in Siem Reap where we will be visiting a local market and some monasteries (unknown by tourists). There are so many things that make just great pictures! After that, Angkor Wat Photography Tours will guide you to the great Tonle Sap (the largest lake in South East Asia) photographing the most beautiful places apart from the Angkor temples. We will be seeing the village of Kampung Phluk with all its colorful houses built on up to 10 meter high stilts. The fishermen living here always have a smile for a photo. If you have a long lens (200 mm and above) and a little luck, you will be taking pictures of wild animals, birds and snakes. In the evening we will be watching and photographing the sunset on the lake. Magnificent!
You will have the chance to photograph Khmer people living in Kampung Phluk during their normal working day and kids while playing all along the way. This is not set up or something, we will see real local people and their family. Have you ever experienced the joy and fun Cambodian kids have when playing? They don’t need computers, they don’t need Barbie dolls. A simple blade of grass is enough for playing. If you take the tour during the rice harvesting season, you will also be able to photograph the farmers during their work. Depending on the season you might even have a chance to see the water buffalo in action
