Why Tandoor Indian Restaurant is special ?
Tandoor is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Taipei. You can often find other Indian families or customers there, which is a good sign
If you don't mind the price of the bill, you will be satisfied with the food at Tandoor Indian Restaurant. They also have a buffet during lunchtime on Sundays.
For appetizers, the barbecued delicacies come highly recommended as they are roasted in the tandoor in the traditional way. Seekh kabab (NT$290), or the roasted minced mutton, is one of the most-ordered dishes.
The Indian gravies come in three basic kinds: yellow, which is made of various vegetables and ginger powder; red, which is either tomato or chili-based; and green, which is the spinach-based. The vindaloo is not for the faint-hearted. If you prefer something milder, chicken saagwalla (NT$300) has a slight tang of spices mixed with the fresh flavor of spinach.
As for the vegetable options, aloo gobi (NT$220), or cauliflower and potatoes cooked with dry herbs and spices and chana masala (NT$220), which is chickpeas cooked in traditional Punjabi style with a thick spicy gravy, are two must-tries for vegetarians.

Reviews
Tasty and authentic, though a bit on the pricey side. The owner and most staff are Indian living in Taiwan for over 30 years.
“Probably the best Indian food in Taipei” I've eaten here now on four different occasions over the years and the food has been simply superb. An authentic genuine Indian restaurant offering regional dishes with Individual flavours from fresh spices that come through each dish without overpowering the principal food The wine list is quite limited so take a good bottle if you enjoy wine The restaurant is quite difficult to find being up a quiet narrow lane off the main highway so you'll need a clear description written in mandarin for the taxi driver.
