Why Tagaytay City is special ?
Tagaytay, officially the City of Tagaytay (Filipino: Lungsod ng Tagaytay), is a component city in the province of Cavite, in the Philippines. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations because of its outstanding scenery and cooler climate provided by its high altitude. Tagaytay overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and provides one of the iconic views of the Philippines, the view of Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the lake, viewable from several vantage points in the city.
Tagaytay is relatively close to the capital city of Manila, only 55 km (34 mi) away via Aguinaldo Highway, providing an easy escape for the locals from the heat of the big city.

We did a day trip to Tagaytay it was a nice drive and very beautiful scenery. Great location we went to the amusement park there which is very nice for the kids
it's a don't miss place when you're near Cavite! the air is clean, the beauty of the place is amazing, luv it here! it's a must-see!
From Festival Mall Filinvest City Alabang, we took a van to the higher land of Tagaytay. It is a cold area similar to Genting Highland in Malaysia and it got theme park too. From the van station, we took a jepney to the Skyranch. The Skyranch was packed with people so we decided to just take a quick look from the outside and moved on to a Krispy Kreme outlet to buy coffee and something to eat.Later we took a jepney back to the earlier station and took a motorcycle with a sidecar to the Taal Volcano Island
It was definately my favorite place to visit on this trip to the philippines. Almost everywhere you go there is a view of taal lake and volcanoe. Riding on the motorcycle with the side car everywell was interesting. There is a very good barbecue place thats the best outside of the us
