Why SpiceBird is special ?

Spicebird is a new kind of barbeque experience is the heart of D'Mall Plaza on Boracay Island, Philippines. Conveniently located at D’Mall in Station 2, this Piri-Piri joint has a consistent following. Piri-Piri is a variety of African bird’s eye chili, but it’s also a method of cooking where meats are marinated in chilies, citrus, and herbs and then flame grilled for maximum spice and flavor. What keeps people coming back is their signature sauces, which you can douse your grilled meat with. Chef at Spicebird makes their own Piri-Piri Sauce and use it on new dishes to take you an exciting culinary journey. From Pork, Chicken and Shrimp Boards to Sandwiches, there is something for everyone in Spicebird.

Must try dishes :

Tips for you

  • Each entrée comes with spiced rice, a milk roll, and side salad—all flavorful and not merely a backdrop to your choice of meat.
  • It is a small restaurant with only 6 tables inside and 2 outside, you should visit early to get your table.
  • You can enjoy any of the grilled meat or shrimp with their four sauces: Salsa Verde, Garlic & Lime, Hotbird Sauce, and the Piri-Piri Sauce.
  • You should ask the waiter about the spicy level of each sauce as it's really hot for you to try all.
    Things to do
  • The homemade sauce of this restaurant is also available for you to buy them to take home.

I'll start off by saying the menu here is very small, it is basically a protein (chicken/pork/shrimp) and rice with a few small sides. That being said between my group we tried all 3 and all were excellent. The serving size and quality is very good for the price (around 300php per set I think). The piri piri sauce was amazing but I was disappointed by the salsa verde. Also the roll that comes with the meal needed some work. This is definitely a place to try when you visit Boracay.
