Why Sovanna Shopping Center is special ?
The Sovanna Shopping Center in Phnom Penh is open since 2008 five years after Sorya Shopping mall and impresses with its modern architecture. The Sovanna Shopping Center is in Phnom Penh’s south west located. Therefore the Sovanna Mall is not really in the center or nearby any tourist attractions. The best opportunity for tourist to visit the Sovanna Shopping Center is on the way to the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek.
With 4 floors, modern elevators and escalators and good air conditioning the Sovanna Mall reminds at the Sorya Shopping Mall, which is in the center of Phnom Penh located.
What to explore at Sovanna Shopping Center?
On the ground floor is a branch of Lucky’s Supermarket where you can purchase you groceries. Besides the supermarket are some restaurants located including popular branches of Lucky’s Burger, Swensen’s Ice Cream and Secret Recipe. An official Apple reseller, other phone shops, jewelry and cosmetics shops are also on the ground floor.
On the first floor are more restaurants and a couple of clothing stores located.
The second floor is all about shoes. Shoe shops for women, men and kids offer the widest selection of shoes in Phnom Penh. If you don’t find a pair of shoes on this floor, you won’t in whole Phnom Penh. Many stores also sell handbags in all colors and sizes. With your new shoes you can walk conveniently to the food court which serves Cambodian dishes and fresh fruit shakes on the same floor.
The third floor has plenty of DVD’s, CD’s and Games stores as well as an electronics shop where you find all the major brands. The third floor is also about fun! You can find a large coin operated gaming hall called Happy Land on this floor where you can enjoy playing arcade games.
The top floor has a Korean BBQ Restaurant, book stalls and a Karaoke place. The karaoke place has besides a broad selection of Khmer songs also a good selection of English songs to offer.
How to get to Sovanna Shopping Center?
The best way to get the mall is by tuk tuk. It takes 28 mins driving from Phnom Penh International Airport.
