Why Sinouk Coffee is special ?

In the heart of the tourist district, Café Sinouk is one of the most popular places for coffee connoisseurs in Pakse. The very best Lao coffee and European pastries are served on a wooden terrace outdoors, or in our air-conditioned dining room indoors, nicely decorated with black and white photos of Coffee planters’ life.

Attached to the terrific Residence Sisouk hotel, this aromatic cafe is a good breakfast or lunch stop, with sandwiches, salads, pasta, pastries, fresh bread and blasting air-con. Rich Arabica coffee from the Bolaven Plateau is sold by the cup and by the bag. The menu also features an assortment European and Thaï meals for lunch or dinner in a French Lao colonial atmosphere.

I was very impressed by the quality of the coffee and pastries. The furniture was beautiful and I really enjoyed just sitting outside and watching the people carrying on in their daily lives in the quiet streets. The staff made our breakfast memorable with Southern Laos hospitality. We ordered, ate and drank and then ordered again. After years in Laos, I was particularly impressed that, when I went up to pay the bill at the counter so that we could quickly depart, the waitress was able to correctly tell the manager everything that we had ordered without referring to a slip.
