Why Shin-Edogawa Garden is special ?

Probably the best free Japanese garden in Tokyo, Chinzanso Garden (椿山荘の庭園) is an amazing garden in central Tokyo.

Shin Edogawa Koen was built during the last years of the Tokugawa Era. It was the second residence of the Hosokawa family. The park has a natural hilly landscape built on the slopes leading down to the Edo Gawa. It's beauty lies in its numerous ponds and seasonal gardens. The cherry blossoms in early spring are exceptional.

What to explore at Shin-Edogawa Garden?

It’s part of a very posh hotel, but everyone is free to enter the garden. There are Japanese tea houses, a pagoda and lots of nice features you would expect from a real, traditional Japanese garden.

If you are looking for a tranquil break after days of travelling, this is definitely a place for people of all ages.

i found it serenity inside this garden. it locates right in the middle of Tokyo and next to Waseda town which is quite noisy. but you’ll get your mind calm in this ambience. just come and set yourself with the garden, you will have a memorable time in such the beautiful garden.
