Why Seafood Paradise is special ?
You can expect popular Chinese dishes and live seafood cooked to perfection at Seafood Paradise. Part of the Paradise Group of restaurants, it is located at the iconic Singapore Flyer, where its signature dish, the creamy butter crab, is its main draw. Their father's day set C is good:) esp the geoduck sashimi! MUST TRY... Its 228++ for about Max 6 people!
The Butter Crab is really really really good and sinful! But it takes some time to cook, so order early~
Was there for my Dad's birthday celebration on 28th September 2014. As usual, the restaurant is packed but the waitresses there never failed to smile and asked if we needed further assistance (dad has problem walking). They did all they can to accommodate all 12 of us. Rushed over to help with the cake, holding the door for me when one of the waitresses saw me walking back from the washroom etc. It's the small gestures like this that makes the difference. Not only did the great service impressed me so much last night, the food was fantastic! Each and every single dish we had ordered were promptly served and they all tasted GREAT, especially the chilli crab and the double-boiled chicken soup! The prices are not cheap but I think it's money well-spent! Would definitely go back again!
We were there on a Sunday evening and it was thankfully not as crowded as we had feared, meaning it was still busy, but it did not feel overwhelming. We did make reservations in advance (ask for seating inside), and do note that parking could be an issue as well as there are limited lots just outside the restaurant.Service was generally very good. I felt that the waitresses / service staff were quite prompt in responding to our calls, and they were attentive and generally very friendly and welcoming. When we were placing our orders, we didn't feel coerced to order certain "recommended" dishes, nor did we feel any impatience on the side of the waitress - which was very good and pleasant. Our orders:1. Live Scottish Bamboo Clam - OK, just like what you would expect (but slightly overcooked?).2. Chilli (or Curry) Crab - not too spicy and not too creamy (I liked this and I like spicy food).3. Butter Crab - my friends liked this but was too creamy for me.4. Man-tou - superb! Crispy on the outside, firm on the inside. Great for dipping!5. Prawns w Wasabi Mayo Dressing - have tasted better.6. Stir-Fried Mee Sua - not too bad.7. Stir-Fried Asparagus - not too bad.8. Taro Paste Gingko Nut Almond - nice!Overall we did enjoy the food and the price was really quite reasonable.Do remember to ask for the estimated price of any "seasonal" dishes! (This restaurant was honest in our opinion because we have been ridiculously overcharged before at some other restaurant!)
Although the food is not bad the whole atmosphere is not very inspiring service is average only one waiter spoke English
