It has long been regarded as one of the most popular things to do in Krabi. All ages can join in as there are climbs for every age range, even children from 5 years old up will really love this. This is one thing that parents and children really can do together as equals.

I initially booked a half day course, but decided to change to a full day course 2 days before the date. Everything was arranged perfectly. I had a return transport pick up from my stay in Ao Nang, longtail boat transfer to Railay Beach. Our group was small, of only 3 pax (for the full day course). That is something that I'd prefer anyway. I had 3 climbs during the first half of the course. Learnt how to tie the rope / knot & belay other climbers as well. One hour lunch after that. A little walk along the beach to the cave, which I had to do a little trek. Advisable to wear shoes though cause I was in flipflops and its was pretty challenging. The cave itself was amazing but the view is so much more incredible! Had to abseil down from the viewpoint, and another trek through the jungle to another climbing site. Then another walk along the beach back to the mainpoint, seeing different parts of Railay. The climb was pretty easy & doable for beginners like me, but definitely need lots of willpower haha.I definitely love this climbing experience & the climb is really worth the view. Highly recommended, so double thumbs up!

We booked a 1/2 day family rock climbing with cave expedition for 10. We told them in advance that we had 2 young children, 2 older ones and 2 seniors. They said ok no problem. The first part of the day was rock climbing which was fantastic. We had a great time, with the kids all getting a taste of rock climbing. The second part involved going up a hill, which was impossible for the older folk and younger kids. Then we went into a dark place, which involved a lot of dangerous climbing and scrambling up ladders and rocky crags. Finally, at the top was a hole in a rock which we had to absail down. I had to strap my daughter to my chest as we absailed down (she cried and screamed all the way). My elderly mother-in-law cried before she went down and then promptly fainted when she reached the ground.Looking back it was a real adventure. But it would have been nice if Real Rocks Railay had provided some better information and warning upfront before we signed up for this!
