Situated in the Civic District close to historic and tourist sites, Raffles City Shopping Centre is a haven for consumers looking for luxury items. Built on the site of a former school (Raffles Institution), Raffles City is downtown shopping at its finest. The mall has a number of luxury and designer stores such as Omega, Thomas Sabo, Cortefiel and Tommy Hilfiger, among others.
Here, youll also find big department stores like Marks & Spencer and Robinsons, and fashion chains like Topshop, River Island and Skyla. Conveniently located above City Hall MRT, Raffles City is @visitsingapore shopping at its finest. There are luxury and designer shops, department stores, and brand name retailers to satisfy everyone.
It's easier to get a cab from the Swissotel taxi stand (Coleman Street) instead of the one outside City Hall MRT.
Best place for shopping and dinning area. Have great discounts and deals on certain period of time.
The first time i came here, i go to Sing Tel to purchase SIM card BB service and IPad data roaming
New dining experience at Watami (Japanese Cuisine). Must try: Watami salad (10 types of veggies with tuna mayo), Kani & Hotate cream croquette (breaded balls of crab & scallop in creamy sauce).
What a fabulous Shopping Centre, with all walks of life going around it and any shop you can think of inside it.Go up to the top floor and there are 5 star restaurants inside too - a wonderful place to shop till you drop !!!
This is one of the large shopping centres to be found all over Singapore. It had a wide selection of eating options in the basement and a local type food hall tucked away in a corner on the upper level. The variety of shopping here is great from M & S , Robinsons Department store to all the major brands. The MRT station is directly below.
We arrived in Singapore and were amazed with the city, gardens everywhere you look. We arrived at our hotel the Fairmont checked in had a quick shower then downstairs to explore. We were blessed by the doorman upon our exit and proceeded to Raffles shopping centre. The fisrt thing we came across was a proactive Art Display which seemed to change constantly well worth a look. We soon discovered that a vast array of shops ranging from top of the range watches to low cost clothes as the expected KFC and McDonalds. (however nothing in Singapore is cheap)Getting around is easy as everthing is sign posted clearly, airconditioned comfort while you shop or eat in one of the many food outlets. Just remember they mainly sell food to eat in as they have very strict littering laws, also smoking is not permitted $1,000.00 fine for lighting up littering is much higher. We had a basic meal and I ordered a Tiger beer without looking at the price was suprised that it cost me $ 9.00 ouch under $3.00 in Thailand and it's imported their. You can also catch the train (one of the best railways I have ever been on), go to the movies etc, I am sure we didn't see every thing but ran out of time.Regards to allD&D

After being used to the new malls on Orchard Road, stepping into Raffles City might reveal its age, with the not-so-bright-anymore lighting and the aged-ness of it all, but it is still spectacular. The shops above the first floor get a bit disappointing, but the food court is pretty good, and it also houses Watami, one of my favourite Japanese chain restaurants! Good stuff! The basement is also loads of fun - with the myriad of food choices... though dinner/lunch time is a bad time to go there for seats... so be prepared!
