Reviews
This is a newer Buddhist Pagoda built around the early sixty's and is one of the tallest I have seen in Asia. There are seven levels to the main structure with the typical sweeping curved roofs at each level with a decoration at the corners. This pagoda does not have the typical opposite dragons of the Chinese pagodas on the roof but rather a spiked scroll. There is at the main entrance a large happy Buddha sitting on a lotus flower. Inside one can find the main worship area where locals can pray to the Buddha and deity's of the ancestors and kings. There is a walled outdoor area around the main building at first floor level where there are rows of brightly colored Buddha's and angry/protective deity's. We used a cyclo from the Bui Vien Street area to get to this Pagoda and back. Worth a visit for those that enjoy something different and Temples.
