Tips for you
Try the shredded fish main - we ordered a ton of food which was all great but this dish was really standout delicious. I'll be dreaming of it when I leave!
It was raining hard so we decided to venture out to the closest restaurant to our hotel. Everyone recommended Padonmar as the best place to grab Myanmar food. Restaurant also has Thai food on the menu. Food was great quality and decent portion size. Staff were a little slow and did't fully comprehend English but hey its SE Asia. We rolled with it and still had a great dinner. Restaurant is situated in a beautiful property in the diplomatic district. The inside actually reminds me of what an American Chinese restaurant would look like if in an old house circa 19402 or 50s which added some incredible charm. I think because of the storm the power went out a few times for short periods but this just added to the romance.
