Why Oc Nhe is special ?

Eating snails and shellfish and drinking beer is a popular night out for many Vietnamese. Ốc Nhé! has a large menu of snails, cockles, clams, scallops and oysters, most of which are grilled over coals on the sidewalk. This place attracts a young crowd and prices are higher than other eateries in this list (40-60,000VNĐ/$2-3 a dish). Try the steamed clams with lemongrass and chilli, and the grilled scallops with peanuts and onions.

This place has a street food vibe about it (the kitchen/bbq fronts onto the street) but is based in a restaurant premises. You basically pick your shrimps/shell fish/etc and they bbq it for you. Everything is accompanied with a herb salad, a large rice cracker thing and a rice n clam porridge. Simple and tasty. Two of us had a large prawn each and drinks for approx 300k dong.
