We booked an intermidiate cooking class, where we had to cook beef, pork and chicken. We arrived a little bit early this day, but we got a really warm welcome and an introduction to the facility. The classroom was well prepared and there were two friendly Person, who assisted us and the Trainer. btw. the Training spoke a good englisch, as far as I remember she lived in LA for a couple of years. We had two small children with us, one 1 year Baby and my 3,5 years old daughter. As you can imagine, my daughter started to help us, but after a some minutes, she wants to Play with her toys. No Problem for the cooking Team, they took care of our children as well. Thanks for that again. After nearly 3 hours, we finished and were able to eat our own cooked dishes.Sorry, for all the Restaurants. We don't Need you anymore. After that class, we are able to do it alone :)I am quite sure, that we will book another class, when we return to Seoul. It is a really good invest of time and Money.Cheers
If you visit Seoul then this is one of the things you have to do. You cook your own traditional Korean food. Funny is that what you create will taste just as good as the "real" food you eat in the restaurants. At the O´ngo will you cook your own food under the management of a real Korean chief. We were guided thru the whole process in a very professional way with laughs and serious moments. The place itself is not really located in central Seoul but that doesn't matter since the subway system is so well developed. Just go there and do this! Its a great experience to have with you from Seoul and lovely Korea.
For someone who is into desserts and cooking, this class is a must when you visit Korea. The place is easy to find, they respond to all your queries thru email and the class is wonderful. You get to do the cooking yourself. And I was lucky enough to have a private lesson. :) will surely take more classes when I come back to Korea! More power!
We made kimchi and bulgogi for the first time! Instruction was easy, the teacher was very friendly and informative. She ran through how kimchi is made traditionally... And, we made kimchi believe it or not (I'm not bragging but I think ours tasted awesome!) You get to eat the bulgogi with the group you're with and bring back the kimchi you've just made. My boyfriend book this culinary class for my visit to Seoul (thank you, darling). That's a great way to start a trip, I love the class! and I'm planning to go to their other class on my next visit, hopefully this Nov.Highly recommended. The class was fun!
