Why Nu Eatery is special ?

Nu's owner Phuc (pronounce "u" as you do in "put") describes his place as an eatery rather than a restaurant. It's wonderfully simple - but don't come here expecting gourmet cuisine. The tiny menu features a handful of dishes, Asian and Western, all handpicked by Phuc. Nu, mean female or feminime in Vietnamese and Phuc named the place after his mother. Nữ Eatery offers fellow travelers a relaxed dining experience in a residential neighborhood steps away from the landmark Japanese Covered Bridge. Join them for some good food, fun people watching, and great conversations over a glass of cold beer. Come for the homemade ice creams. Come for the free post cards and travel tips.

How to get to Nu Eatery?

Tips for you

  • There are also smoothies and wines by the glass.
  • To find the restaurant, you must pass the Japanese bridge, from the dog side to the monkey side, walk ~20m, turn right into a narrow street and enjoy!
  • You can go there at noon to have a look while they make preparations for dinner, or chill on the sunny rooftop.
  • They're quite busy: so bring some time with you cause it can be possible you have to wait a few minutes until you get seated.
  • Nu Eatery has an open kitchen so you can see what’s going on while your food is getting ready.

The food at this small eatery is delicious. We had the steamed buns, the curry chicken (rice-com), the noodles (noodle - mi) & the cheese cake. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious & washed down with some local Vietnamese beer the experience was quite a treat. The bill came down to below AUD 18. We are going back for more for sure - the most tastiest food in Vietnam to date!

Get the steamed pork belly buns. The rice with chicken or eggplant was delicious as well.
