Why National Museum of Singapore is special ?
With a history dating back to its inception in 1887, the National Museum of Singapore is the nation’s oldest museum with a progressive mind. It is custodian of 12 National Treasures, and its Singapore History and Living Galleries adopt cutting-edge and varied ways of presenting history and culture to redefine conventional museum experience. A cultural and architectural landmark in Singapore, the Museum hosts innovative festivals and events all year round – the dynamic Night Festival, visually arresting art installations, as well as amazing performances and film screenings – in addition to presenting thought-provoking exhibitions involving critically important collections of artefacts. The programming is supported by a wide range of facilities and services including F&B, retail and a Resource Centre.

What to explore at National Museum of Singapore?
Perhaps the most magnificent feature of the building itself is the restored rotunda, which includes 50 carefully crafted pieces of stained glass. At once modern and classical, the museum features a wide variety of multimedia exhibits focused primarily on – naturally – Singapore's history, culture and overall glory.

Built in 1887, the National Museum is an architectural gem housing Singapore’s 11 National Treasures. Its interactive elements will immerse you in a multi-sensory experience of @visitsingapore’s past.
Look out for the grey spiral staircase on the second floor near the Living Galleries. Rumored to be haunted!
The oldest museum in the country, this is where you can learn about Singapore's history. Don't miss the Living Galleries for film, photography, food, and fashion. 93 Stamford Road. Opens at 10 am.
The National museum of Singapore is a great place to learn more and find out about Singapore's history and the people who used to live there. It uses many forms and ways to show history, through media, articles and objects, its really great and not boring at all! You can spend a whole day in there.Sometimes there are special exhibits as well (though they have an entry fee too), which are usually quite interesting too!
when traditional meet modern! very clearly details shown about the history from the past..original and cool!
This is museum is impressively clean and modern. This is a place where "study materials" are presented un-boringly.
