Why Nasi Kandar Pelita is special ?

Nasi Kandar Pelita is Malaysia's favorite chain of nasi kandar (rice meal) restaurants for the best reason there is - the food is magnificent. The restaurant is arranged like a food court, with separate counters serving Malay and South Indian favorites such as mee goreng (fried noodles) and roti canai - a Malay classic of fried flat bread with a rich spicy dipping sauce. It's partly open air but misters cool the air inside. There's also a branch on Jalan Telawi 5 in Bangsar.

Ayam Madu

Honey roasted chicken smothered with an unforgettable sauce.

Nasi Biriyani Ayam

Spicy curry chicken and yellow rice deliciously combine into Biriyanti Chicken rice, a Malaysian favourite.

The tender fish head is stewed in tongue searing curry and served with vegetables.

1) Variety of curry dishes, fried (chicken, fish & cuttlefish), selection of vegetable and crunchy papadom. 2) You can try mix a few dishes and “kuah taru atas” it means pouring curry sauce on top. 3) Be careful if you choose fried cuttlefish, probably you may check the price before you take. 4) This restaurant open 24 hours daily. And will be crowded during lunch and dinner time. 5) Parking in front of restaurant not enough space and most of visitors “double park” their vehicles.

The best in KL.. as I am from Penang and lived there for many years before, this is the closest to original nasi kandar..never had any bad experience before, service is quite prompt for this branch.
