My family and I visited the museum on a hot day in August 2016. The museum provides some information of the history and development of Taipa and it is fantastic to know more about the place instead of spending all day in shopping malls and casinos. It only costs MOP5 per person for entrance ticket. It is also a great escape under the hot sun and enjoy a bit of refreshing cool air!:)

Inside a large tiffany blue colonial building houses a small museum that covers the history of Taipa and Coloane and is only a few steps from the Tin Hau temple and Tin Hau bus stop. You'll find exhibits on and learn about Taipa and Coloane's early civilisations, archaeological excavations (most notably an old Portuguese-style stone street), religious objects, agricultural exhibits and other neat historical items. It's a cheap entry fee (as little as $5 MOP for adults) and it's free entry on Tuesdays!
