Located in downtown Yangon this restaurant was a real find. We dined there twice on two consecutive evenings. On the second evening I had the best meal of my whole trip The menu is very extensive - covers a range of specialities from across South East Asia - the menu is divided up per country rather than meal type but there is typically 3 to 5 soups, salads, starters and main dishes from each country. There is also a large western food section and an extensive juice menu. Food was delivered in a timely manner and for the most part the group's food was delivered all at the same time which is unusual for Myanmar. Portions were large. Its slightly more expensive than your average restaurant in Myanmar, tax is added to the end bill and not shown per item in the menu but it will not break the bank , is still 'cheap' by western standards and its certainly not overpriced. Staff are friendly, attentive and informed and their english levels are good. The restaurant is relatively large with a second floor also open for guests but it is also very popular so it maybe worth reserving ahead of time. Monsoon is very sleekly designed, quite modern, and very spacious, - it has mood lighting and also exhibits various photos from around the region. This was by far the best restaurant I visited in Myanmar

Huge menu with Cambodian, Thai, Burmese, Western, and Vietnamese food. Got the cheese sandwich and fries ($4 USD). Mostly tourists and expats. Nice interior.
