Why Mizuno is special ?

Must try dishes:

Okonomiyaki is a Japanese pancake made from a batter of flour, shredded nagaimo (a Japanese yam), egg, and dashi broth. You can fill it with all sorts of meat, vegetables, or seafood according to your preference. In fact, “okonomi” means “as you like it”.

The traditional Osaka-style okonomiyaki includes shredded cabbage, pork belly, and seafood. The pancake is then topped with bonito flakes, okonomiyaki sauce (a brown, tangy sauce), mayonnaise, and scallions.

The pork belly and leek okonomiyaki is third most popular on the menu and is much simpler, less gooey, and less rich than the mazeyaki. There’s hardly any sauce on top. Instead, the drier pancake is topped with a simple sprinkling of baby sprouts.

Found it here on tripadvisor and also on another travel book, it's so worth trying :-) Arrived late around 8.30 and still a queue but don't mind the queue is moving. When waiting inside it looked so delicious, just got hungry from watching the guys preparing the dishes. The seafood mixes were the best, fresh and absolutely tasty - had 4 dishes for 2 person. The flavour of the beer matches the food perfectly - refreshing..

This place was highly recommended by our hotel concierge so decided to give it a go. Was a bit hard to find so used the GPS on the tablet. We had just arrived in Osaka and it was so busy and dark in Dotonburi you needed it. When we arrived as expected there was a long line of gusts. They close at 10 and they mean it so turn down gusts after 8:45ish. We were lucky enough they closed the queue right after us. They will hand out the menus and. Ask you. To pick your food while you re queuing so you do not have to wait long before your food is served. The cool thing is they cook the food right in front of you and it is sizzling hot and good. You can choose from a wide selection of ingredients including meat and seafood. Not sure about the veggie option though. Pricewise it was in the ¥10,000 with drinks.....we had sake so it did spice up the bill. As always with indoor style barbecue food be prepared to have your clothes smelling foof afterwards so bring a bag to shelter your items! Visited August 2015

Went there at about 11.30 a.m and a queue already formed up, turned out only 9 effective seats during lunch time, we ordered the recommended okonomiyaki and yakisoba.. yakisoba and yam based okonomiyaki were delicious, minor setback was the stuffiness of the place (was really small)..other than that everything was great
