Why Luang Prabang Night Market is special ?
Located in a narrow alley in a Street perpendicular to the night market of Luang Prabang are installed street food stalls. These street food stalls have a bit of everything: grilled meats, buffet, menus vegatarianos and of course the Beerlao beers. Street night market restaurants are also very cheap, you can dine for a couple of euros.

I have been in S. E. Asia now for 3 months and been to lots of night markets. Here in Laos I actually saw some things that I haven't seen elsewhere and bought some beautiful lacquer bowls made out of coconut shells. It isn't a huge market, but big enough. They close down the main street starting around 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. There are all kinds of food vendors, and a guy that has an "all you can put on your plate" buffet for only 10,000 Kip. If you are in LP, don't miss this! lots of fun.
I was at this market a couple of times before in the winter and I must say this time in late Aug, seems like a low season. As it was much much busier in Dec, which makes it easier to walk and look around as it is not busy at night times. Nevertheless there are tons and tons of interesting artifacts and local crafts to explore or buy, always bargain your way, the sellers are not pushy rather they are calm and polite. Right at the end of the market from both side many cheep eats and fresh fruit shakes and pancakes and few good restaurants and couple of chill out bars. Enjoy the walk and sightseeing.
Barter, barter and throw in some more bartering. General rule of thumb half the initial price they give you and go from there. Tons of beautiful art, jewellery, clothes and unique Lao souvenirs.
