Why La Rotonde Cafeteria is special ?
La Rotonde is a classy place in Saigon, and located directly in the center. La Rotonde is a good example of the rising nostalgia among Saigon's young for their city's disappearing past. Set upstairs in a corner colonial era shophouse, with high ceilings and huge windows, it's bathed in natural light. The cool decor includes local antiques, som nicely chosen Indochina-style artwork and furnishings mixing industrial and deco styles. People may find old tables in Vietnamese style set up next to Western-style couches a pleasant harmony and not a contrast. If you want to espace from the inside lights and AC from your office/school whatever, you should go there.
How to get to La Rotonde Cafeteria?

Tips for you
My friend brought me to this restaurant because I haven't really tried authentic Vietnamese food and I wanted to eat something aside from Pho. I had Bun Thit Nuong, which she recommended, and I enjoyed eating it! (Good thing that the leaves didn't taste as strong as I thought because there was a certain flavor that I just couldn't take). I love that the spring rolls had shrimps inside and the noodles were cooked just nice. The place is also beautiful! I love the exterior but especially the interiors - the colors, the walls, the furniture, the small details. Everything about the place is perfect! (For the staircase, I guess most restaurants on such small buildings are the same)
Great ambience with a lot of natural light. Stumbled upon it on a lazy Sunday morning. The ice cream is some of the best I've had in Vietnam. It is also surprisingly good value for money.
