Why Kidzania Tokyo is special ?

Kidzania Tokyo is a family edutainment center amusement park, in the LaLaport Toyosu, Tokyo, Japan opened in October 2006. A part of the Kidzania franchise, Kidzania Tokyo is the third ever Kidzania theme park ever built, preceded by Mexico City and Monterrey, and succeeded by Kidzania Jakarta. As like other Kidzania Theme parks, the Tokyo franchise offers 70 occupations for enjoyment by children; nevertheless, it was nearly identical to any other Kidzania theme parks in the franchise.

The park, as like other parks (excluding Kidzania Jakarta) in the franchise, aimed at children from the age of three to fourteen. Although it looks smaller than any other parks in the franchise, the occupations offered remained similar to its Mexican counterparts.

What to explore at Kidzania Tokyo?

Children can experience their favorite job and learn about the social system while having fun. Authentic looking "pavilions" including a bank, hospital, newspaper company, radio station, and pizza shop are all about 2/3 the size of a real building, and there are about 70 professional activities to try including banker, doctor, fashion model, newspaper journalist, and firefighter. The target age is 2 to 12 years old. Although adults are not allowed to enter the pavilions, there are monitors and observation windows so that parents can watch their children working actively. Children are paid for their work in "Kidzo" money, which can be used in KidZania to shop at a department store, save at a bank or withdraw from an ATM within KidZania. This is a wonderful way to help children realize the pleasure of working.

Imagine a world just like the real world, but kids are the ones that run it - that is Kidzania in a nutshell. The boys were car modellers, hamburger employees, scientists, airplane modellers, mobile phone salespeople, and more in the 6 hours window. At first, they were apprehensive, but then got into the full swing of things, and didn't want to leave in the end. The kids make money from their jobs, which they can then bank or spend on goods in Kidzania. The boys got a mobile phone to rent for the period in Kidzania, as well as doing a hip-hop dance class. It is obvious that the amount of money that they earned on 1 visit is not enough to buy anything, so it encourages you to go back and visit at another time. The only point of caution is that despite some jobs being in English, it really does help if you can speak and understand Japanese - luckily the boys can, but if they could not speak or understand Japanese, their job opportunities would be limited...I guess like in the real world in Japan! I would encourage a visit, and recommend it.
