Why Kep Saloon is special ?
Kep Saloon is the nice place with warm atmosphere. This is one of the most beautifull lounge bar & retaurant.
Kep Saloon is Kep's first Air condition Bar with tasty cocktails and a nice selection of French and Khmer food. They have Angkor and Carlsberg on draft and a very inviting sunset balcony.
Didier and Yan, the managers of the Kep Saloon are a good communication partner and the staff are very friendly and professional. They do have the occasional Music night, with live bands from Phnom Penh.
Must try dish:
Crab in green peppercorn
Amok-style crab noodles
The beef filet with sauce "marchand de vin"

Tips for you
This was how the owner described the food and he was spot on! In an area where hygiene seemed not to exist and flies were lords of the manor the Kep Saloon was a welcome breath of fresh and clean air! The place is decorated in a beautiful minimalist fashion and out the back you could imagine you were on your own private jetty on your own private island. And the food! What can I say, it was so good we ate here three times! Simple dishes, classic French taste. I had the crab in green peppercorn (local) the first night - divine! My husband had the pork and for the first time in nearly a week had no stomach bother! What can i say? The next night we both had steak - cooked to perfection and again no stomach issues -joy! We even had breakfast the day we left - after discussing with the owner the day before what we would like he dutifully produced croissants, bread, confiture, chocolate, coffee, fruit... It was like being in France! I'll miss it here, if only the other eateries were as good and as clean!
