Tips for you
After a week of seafood, the usual but lovely Khmer dishes, and kids menus, time for something different. Not that the 'Kep Lodge' does not offer these fares - it does, but we opted for an evening of mostly Swiss delights. And did we get them! Dan and his team of highly courteous and friendly staff took great care to ensure our evening was wonderful. With a fresh well-water cool glass to start with, and cosy and comfy upstairs seating in an all-wooden terraced building, we looked out over a lovely scene of tranquility, with a private pool to the front, and the sunset over the ocean in the background. When the food arrived (finally - a restaurant that serves everyone together - and we were a party of ten!), our mouths watered. Raclette, Fondue with a wide range of assorted dips, Amok (great veggie selection), another Swiss favorite - Rosti - topped with cheese or sausages, and the kids happy with Schnitzel, accompanied with a fine red, and followed up with chocolate moose and pancakes, ... what a feast... The atmosphere added to the occasion, with calming -Buddha-bar type ambient music at the right volume in the background. Pool and other games downstairs kept the kids occupied while we chatted afterwards... lovely For those who want a calm relaxed and tasty evening out, this is where to go. Thanks Dan and the Kep Lodge team!
Wonderful hotel, with great Swiss and Khmer food (very good cheese, try the raclette!). Personals are very kind, definitely the best hotel in Kep!
