Reviews
This modest Indian restaurant is located on a small street off the more trendy Kiyamachi street close to Ritz Carlton & Hotel okura. It is located on the 2nd floor of a small building but this should not deter as facing the restaurant you see the picturesque surroundings of the weeping willows tree lined giving a rural setting! After climbing up the stairs the impact of the wonderful view gives one a very serene feeling! The Restaurant is clean & modestly furnished. But you quickly get compensated by the good food that arrives all fresh with the right amount of spices- Tandoori chicken & Raita,Dal & Dessert. The service is good & the rates are also inexpensive. It was started by a Japanese who visited India & fell in love with it.On his return along with some hilly Uttarkhandi`s of India started this Restaurant in 1987.The fact that i saw a number of Indians & Japanese among the diners bears out its success. When visiting the ancient cultural capital of Japan Kyoto don`t miss dining out here!
