Why Hatsune Restaurant is special ?
Hatsune Japanese restaurant is the original Californian-Japanese fusion concept. Always imitated, but never replicated, Hatsune is a time-tested stalwart that has become a veritable institution in Beijing’s dining scene, the very first of its kind in China to feature innovative, cutting-edge California-style sushi rolls on its menu. Culinary perfection coupled with award-winning service, this restaurant’s critically acclaimed menus offer what food lovers describe as Japanese fusion at its best.
Must try dishes:
Hatsune is known for its Californian-style sushi (crab meat and avocado), and the ‘119 roll’, bright red tuna rolls topped with spicy-and-sweet sauce – not to be missed. Another favourite is inari zushi, a sweet beancurd pocket filled with rice.

Skip the grumbles about “authenticity”–the unabashedly California-style sushi is fresh and original. And the vibe is cool too. This is a great spot for entertaining friends.
Great in every way except the damn TV over the bar. This is not a sports bar! Spoils the atmosphere....
We was a the Hatsune restaurant 2 days ago. The restaurant is a liitle bit "oustide" but not far away from the citz. The ambiente is amazing. Excellent and friendly service and they can talk in english. So we ordered the starter and the dinner. No open glas of win by the table, but i doenst matter. The salad, the sashumi and the suhi was excellnt fresh and tasty. Great restaurnat, but not cheap for chinese dimension. For european standard it will be cheap. BUT PERFECT, thanks Hatsune for this great evenning...
Fresh sashimi and very good sushi rolls you can ever find in Beijing, english speaking staff and very chic ambience for friends/family gatherings. Overall, we were not disappointed, well received restaurant in San Li Tun.
Was recommended this restaurant by a colleague, who has a very good taste and we were not disappointed. We ordered the menu and could choose 3 rolls ourselves - which was hard as their selection is huge and it all sounded very good. Then we had some sashimies as well and some extra rolls, and there were plenty of food for 4 persons. The sashimi was great, the nigiris were good and the rolls were excellent - very beatifull looking and very tasty. The only minus was the Japanese-style mojito that was not anything like a mojito, but they had the normal Japanese beer selection and a ok wine selection. The value for money was excellent - and I highly recommend going.
I am a regular customer at Hatsune, Kerry center. The quality of sushi is good and at affordable price. Sushi rolls are very much American style so even you do not eat raw fish, you still also find sth such as foie gras, Beijing duck, or tempura roll. The lunch sets during lunch on weekdays are great value for 78 to 88 RMB. They offer sets of tempura, mixed sashimi, mixed sushi, tepanyaki and some more. The service is good. One time I ordered a new menu and we did not like it. They offered us a new one. The branch in Salitun has more spaces and looks nicer but I prefer the one in my walking distance ..Kerry Center.
Impressive menu with a great ambient. Nobody has mentioned them but the Hand rolls are amazing. Defenetly a must in Beijing. Call and book before you come
