Reviews
Puli is situated at the geographic center of Taiwan, a place of exquisite scenery, fertile land, and outstanding people. It is also the most thriving town in eastern Nantou. The Taiwan Geographical Center Monument that was erected during the time of the Japanese occupation has become Puli's landmark, and is today not only a geographic marker but also a popular tourist spot. Go up the steps behind the monument and you will reach the peak of Mt. Huzih, where all of Puli stretches below you. To the southeast of the mountain lies the natural Carp Lake, its clear water and the willow trees on its banks presenting an enchanting sight especially when the setting sun is mirrored on the lake's surface.
