I stumbled upon this place having missed closing time at another Portuguese restaurant nearby. The restaurant was busy with people coming in well after ten on Friday. What a pleasant find it was. Excellent ham and cheese to start then fantastic bacalau, washed down with some very good value wine. Good staff too. Seems a lively place popular with locals - always a good sign. Definitely on my list of places to revisit in Macau.

I wanted to find a nice place to eat on a way back to my hotel and have ended up in Dom Galo. The food has a great taste, the portions are fairly large, but I wouldn't call the food too inspiring though. The ambiance is great. Where the place was lacking was in service, I think I came there around the time when their Filipino staff was having off for lunchtime, so they were not too keen to service me, despite the place not being too busy at the time. It took me a while to get their attention. Overall, not a bad place in a good location close to MGM.
