Tips for you
Travelling for two months in SEA we were craving for an european tasting meal like pasta. As we entered the small Italian restaurant in pakse we suddenly felt like in Italy especially when the friendly Italian owner wellcomed us in Italian and with a warm smile. It was very hard to deside which pasta to choose out of many wonderful real Italian dishes. The salad came with oil and balsamic (!) vinegar and bread like in europe and made us smile. Our smile got even bigger as the pasta arrived: a huge plate of very well prepared pasta, perfectly al dente cooked even with parmesan cheese on top and all traces of fishsauce missing... :-) You could easily forget your in laos, only the beerlao gives you a clou. As dessert there was homemade icecream which made us realy go crazy at the end... A meal like in Italy perfect for all homesick travellers or the ones who need a break from rice and fishsauce. To bad we have to leave, otherwise I would know where to eat for the next time...
