Tips for you
Body shop is definately one to stop by - extremely cheap! also alot of sports stores, easy to get to Via MTR. only issue is shops dont open til 11am
went to this place on sunday afternoon..it was packed with ppl..mostly local ppl.. it just like average brand outlet everywhere.. i dint buy anythng because i can get the same product at cheaper price in my country or buy online (for branded handbag - coach/furla etc).. but it still worth a visit if you have extra time to kill.
Citygate Outlets is located in Tung Chung (the last MTR stn to the Big Buddha on Lantau Island near the airport). The MTR stn is actually on the bottom level of the mall. I would not recommend going out all that way just to go shopping. Prices are not any cheaper than in the stores (on Sale) in HK/Kowloon proper; nor any cheaper than outlets in the US. If there happens to be a Sale going on, then maybe you can find a bargain. Since this place is so popular, the problem is there is not much selection or sizes left to choose from. The outlet mall contains your usual large brands: Nike, Adidas, Coach, CK, The Body Shop, as well as local brands: Giordano, G2000, I.T. to name a few. Check citygateoutlets.com.hk for a listing of stores. If you are planning to visit the Big Buddha or take the 360 cable car ride, then you can easily include a quick stop to check out the outlet stores for sales. There are also plenty of restaurants & a food court; you can take lunch/dinner before or after your visit to the BB/360 ride. There is a large supermrkt (Taste) to buy snacks/drinks. Plenty of clean restrms & nice A/C to cool yourself from the heat/humidity outside.
