Why Cavern Pub is special ?
Cavern Pub is located at Dong Du in Ho Chi Minh City. It is a nice local bar with adequate range of drinks, good service and entertaining live music. Though it is not big, it has good collection of alcoholic drinks and serves nice cocktails. Most of the staffs are ladies, who remain heavily made up. Live band plays popular numbers and entertains requests of guests too. Live music is only for nights. The volume of the sound is not too loud for conversation. However, it still may cause discomfort to many. The interior decor is relaxing and makes Cavern Pub appropriate for visit any time.

Great bar with a fantastic atmosphere, centrally located near the opera house. Friendly staff with good local knowledge and recommended some great places. Ice cold beer and Good live music with a different band every night.
Disproportionate number of women working behind and around the bar gives the place a strange feel. Band was OK but a little too loud for such a small bar. This bar could be anywhere so if you are looking for something with a local feel I would definitely avoid.
My husband and I made this a stop on one of our last night's in HCMC. We found it pretty easily (there were 2 heavily made up ladies waiting outside) and hesitated when we saw it was empty (at 8:30pm). There were 2 people setting up microphones and a guitar so we decided to stay and see if the hype was for real.We watched Premier League football while the bartender/hostesses refilled our bowl of peanuts and I had a Mojito which was pretty great, and then a Captain and Coke which I about spit out when the two performers started their set. They were really, really great, with a gorgeous vocalist playing the tambourine every once in awhile and a cute guy guitarist harmonizing with her. They played a ton of different music and even asked for requests (I requested Fleetwood Mac, which they didn't have, but played Adele instead)!Despite the lack of other revelers (one mid 60's guy and another couple our age) I had a blast and was humming music all the way back to the hotel! If you like live music you will love this little gem!
