Reviews
Butterfly Tours, a company run and owned by young Cambodians, is well established in Battambang and Siem Reap however they have only recently opened up a new office in Kampot. I booked the "Bike to the Back Road of Kampot" tour and was lucky enough to be the only person in the tour group. My guide Sovankun was really great - he answered all my questions and also shared some of his insights on the Cambodian way of life. We visited a few food stops including rice noodles, rice wine and Khmer egg rolls. The locals were very friendly especially the grandma from the egg roll stop!!! We also stopped by a local school and a few pagodas. If you're lucky you may also get to see an elephant!! It was a very adventurous and fun morning! Water and light snacks are included. If you come to Kampot and want to have a genuine cultural experience you can't afford to miss this wonderful tour!!
