What to explore at Blue Post Boiling Crabs and Shrimps?
Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps is one such restaurant, which offers fresh seafood catch and serves them in attention-grabbing and mouth-watering dishes. Once known as a bar and party place, Blue Posts has now transformed its brand to a family-style restaurant that offers the now-famous seafood bag / bucket. You can design your own seafood dish by following these steps:
Step 1: Seafood Selection. Choices are tuna belly (P395/lb), shrimps (P483/lb), mussels (P582/lb) and crabs (based on market price).
Step 2: Cooking Preference. Choose whether Blue Posts Boil or Garlic Fried.

You may also add extra corn on cob (P42), potatoes (P42) and sausages (P42). Native chicken lovers will also be happy to know that they serve grilled native chicken (P369). According to the owners, they only prepare a specific number of whole native chickens to ensure that they get consumed within the day. For desserts, you can try their Mudslide, Halo-Halo or Tapioca dessert (P68 each).

Try ordering your crabs cooked in their Garlic Fried style. Makes the crab meat more flavorful!
Very good food quite expensive but you wont expect a cheap price for crab and shrimp the price is very reasonable. try their fried garlic shrimp, crab chowder and liempo taste very GOOD! ???
Try their Blue Posts Boiled Crabs and Shrimps in Cajun Sauce.. YUM!! Also, Try Dipping Garlic Fried Crabs and Shrimps in the sauce.. MUST TRY!
It was serendipity that brought us to this restaurant. Off the boat from Pearl Farm where at best the food was passable (but the place was just so perfect for relaxation - far from the madding crowd), we were in search of a very good seafood restaurant. The first thing that came to mind from my partner was Blue Posts... I had no idea what to expect. Certainly not the graffiti strewn restaurant that was a bit gimmicky for me but could only be overcome if the food lives up to the heightened expectations. The food was great - we had garlic crab (1.3kg), grilled pork belly, and green mango salad, plus corn on the cob. The 1,300/kg price on the crab was comparable to Manila's best/most expensive crab restaurants, but we were prepared to splurge. It was only after the meal that i found out that we didn't have the option to eat with utensils - lol. The only way to eat crabs is with hands, but please, have crab picks next time. I improvised using the back of a plastic fork to scoop the crab meat from its appendages. They provided a mallet and a crab cracker plus a wood board. Having a big sheet of wax paper made sense as this exercise tends to be messy, but so much fun. Total bill was about 2,400pesos (about 55US$), but the memories for this first time meal for 2 (though the food could be for 4 people) is priceless!
I visited Boiling crabs for many times since last year and it was really great to be here.Crab chowder is one of my favorite starter. A must try also their pomelo salad! A great pair with any dishes they have. Try also their crispy fried tuna belly with toasted garlic on top.Be here in group, and eat your food with bare hands. To prevent food staining your clothes, they have this plastic bib.Prepare at least P500 per head for a group of 4 for your dinner budget.
Unique dining experience for those who wish to eat crabs and shrimps. Best to go early or make a reservation as the resto gets filled up fast even on weekdays. It may not have been the best crabs or shrimps I have tasted, but it gives one a unique dining experience in Davao City. A bit pricey too btw.
Just visited this newly opened restaurant which is the toast of the town. Had the garlic fried crabs and the Blue Post Boiling Shrimps, plus the garlic liempo and adobong manok. Just have to say that the garlic variant is better than the blue post sauce one. Quite pricey but its worth it! The seafoods were fresh and succulent. Don't forget to leave your imprint in the walls! I will surely come back!
