I had the opportunity of joining the Friday night bike ride which is an exhilerating 2 hours of pedalling and driving lessons for Yangon mixed into one crazy ride. Gold pagodas popping up when you turn corners, glowing and visually striking. Jeff was a kind host and let me use of of his spare bikes during the ride for a reasonable price. Total amateurs to big city biking may want a gentler introduction to it than a night ride through Yangon.
I stayed at BWEM's B&B for one night, and found Soesoe and Jeff to be very friendly. Soesoe even took me on a night bike tour with another guest to the nearest dinner place, which was fantastic. Both hosts are great to talk to and provide the best service to their guests. The accommodation is definitely value-for-money in Yangon - everything is clean, neat, comfortable even in a small room. I highly recommend BWEM's B&B if you're looking for a place to stay in Yangon.
We can only recommend to stay at Jeff and Soe Soe, they make you feel at home. They are good at arranging tours and help with useful information. We have been on a cycling trip around Yangon, it was a fantastic tur.Vi so exciting surroundings and nature, the trip was hot and dusty, but there were good breaks and good fellowship on the trip, is highly recommended.
