What to explore at Ben Thanh Market?
There are over 3000 vendor stalls in Ben Thanh. Everything from ceramics, clothes, watches, lighters, t-shirts, coffee, handbags, shoes, conical hats, custom made suits and dresses to noodle soup and fruit smoothies is sold here. Both vendors inside and hawkers outside Ben Thanh Market are somewhat aggressive so be prepared to politely decline or ignore their frequent terse sales pitches should you not be ready to buy at first sight.

The stall owners, especially young ladies would touch you, pull you by your arms, drag you into their stalls, tug your shirt while saying "Sir, come and look, it's cheap!" or "What you are looking for?". But they do not mean anything harm. So get used to taps and pokes and do not easily look back in anger.Experience

Reviews
You will get lost in the market as it is huge. It is a square market with demarcated areas for Foos, flowersm souvenirs and leather goods. But remember where you enter from and make that your landmark. There is also a food stall market where you sit and have your meal. There is no Halal foos shops in there. If you only have 24 hours to shop, especially of you want to get the Malay Baju Kurung & the Tudung Fareeda and Telekung Solat, go outside the BenTanh market you will find the prices cheaper and more variety for the Baju Kurung and Tudung. Go to the market only for casual shirts and children's clothes. I bought italian materials to make work shirts. They are TOP quality. If they quote you XX for a metre only, bargain to get XX for 2 metres. That is half price. You need to bargain and it is fun. The shop keepers like the bantering and it is hilarious. There is a night market outside the Ben Thanh after 6pm. For Malaysians looking for a good bargain at the nite market, you will find that the nite market is even cheaper for Baju Kurung, Jubah and Tudung Fareeda.
