Why Ba Me restaurant ( Quan Hang Me) is special ?
Dedicated to Hue rustic food, Hang Me features a “tiny” menu with only five different local cakes, but all are worth trying. Bánh nậm (steamed glutinous rice cake topped with minced pork and prawn) or bánh bột lọc (rice “jelly” wrapping prawn) are good choices for your lunch. Every dish only costs $1.5 - $2.0, and one just have to spend about $8 for a big meal. Featuring hygienic condition and a simple setting with mental table, Hang Me is great choice for any backpacker or tourists who favor non-touristic but good valued restaurant.

Banh Nam is steamed rice flour with shrimp and herbs wrapped in phrynium leaves; the leaves are common in Hue, giving the final product an aromatic distinctive taste and flavor.
Banh Beo is steamed rice flour pour in little ceramic dishes, then sprinkled with dried shrimp and crunchy pork skin on top.
Banh Bot Loc is made with steamed tapioca flour, it's chewy, wrapped with unpeeled marinated shrimp and pork.
Banh Ram It is made with rice flour consisting of two layers, one layer is deep-fried, the second layer steamed with a shrimp inside, then combined for a sticky crunchy taste texture like croquettes.
How to get to Ba Me restaurant ( Quan Hang Me)?
Go straight ahead Le Loi St from Hue Railway Station. Take the 1st right at Doi Cung St, then turn left at Vo Thi Sau St to reach the restaurant.
