Why Avalon Cafe Lounge is special ?
Avalon Cafe Lounge is a three-level cafe and lounge bar with a roof top patio, one smoke free floor, and unimpeded views of Hoan Kiem Lake. The ever-busy Avalon Café’s lounge and sky garden is a great place to rise above the street-level motorbike melee. Sit six floors above Hanoi’s iconic Hoan Kiem lake and look down on the tangle of mopeds and taxis that make up the after-work rush. Sip a Wild Grass cocktail of vodka, lime, finely sliced lemongrass and lemon leaf. A white trellis wrapped in vines acts as a makeshift dividing wall from neighboring rooftops, which pale in aesthetic comparison to Avalon’s handsome wood and wicker patio furniture.
Must try dishes:
Chocolate lava cake
Chicken clay pot
Quesadilla
Spaghetti marinara
Grilled seabass
Chicken fried rice
Seafood claypot rice
Fried vermicelli

Reviews
We spent our last night in Hanoi here and it was magical. The view is outstanding and they serve a variety of western and Vietnamese options. We loved the pho rolls and the chocolate volcano. They have a good wine selection too. The service was great and we got moved to a seat right in front of the glass which was great especially because the smell of smoke was pretty invasive. The only downfall was all the cigarette smoke. I recommend you call to book to secure a seat at the glass looking over the river. Overall it was a lovely experience.
Relaxing on the rooftop at Avalon Cafe & Lounge. Exploring the delights of Hanoi cuisine with a wonderful twilight view of Hồ Hoàn Kiếm.
